COOP Hotel****, Sofia opened doors in 2017. It is an exquisite, newly constructed building in the style of Old Sofia. It is the ninth member of the "COOP – Your place for holidays" hotel chain owned by the Central Cooperative Union. It is situated in downtown Sofia – in the block between Rakovski, Iskar and Paris streets. The hotel is in immediate proximity to numerous sights – architectural and cultural-historic monuments, administrative buildings, and restaurants and cafes. This makes the hotel a unique place for business and family trips, recreation and congress tourism.

The construction of COOP Hotel, Sofia started in 2014 and was completed in 2016.

The architecture of the building is distinguished by its high style standard, entirely depicting the spirit of the area where it is situated – the old city centre of Sofia - while at the same time fitting aesthetically among the surrounding administrative and business buildings. The seamless combination of modern high quality materials and technologies and the colours and architectural elements of the 1930ies, make this hotel a unique piece of the whole architectural ensemble, including the completely renovated headquarters of the Central Cooperative Union.

The design of the space and the materials used give the feeling of the cosy atmosphere of the home, combined with the elegance and splendour of the old, aristocratic buildings in Sofia. The interior solution is prevailed by soft and unobtrusive colours. The wood, the upholstery fabrics and cotton curtains and drapes match perfectly the furniture and the overall vision of the interior design. The stone wall cladding and the ground floor columns, the French windows with metal tracery and the copper dome with the clock, which quickly became the symbol of the hotel, bring even more charm to the spirit of the hotel. The decoration of the rooms and the corridors uses paintings that tell about the history of Sofia and the Bulgarian cooperative movement.

The building is accessible from the tree streets surrounding the hotel. The entrance to the hotel is from Rakovski str. There is separate access to the bistro, the two shops and the underground parking lot from Iskar str., and the service entrance is from Paris str.

The hotel has 9 levels – 2 underground and 7 above-ground.

The reception desk, the lobby bar and the bistro are situated on the ground floor and offer an excellent spot for meetings with business partners or friends for a glass of aromatic, refreshing drink. The bistro offers buffet breakfast or a-la-carte menu in a pleasant setting reviving the feeling of a Viennese salon. The guests may enjoy the pleasant and cosy garden of the lobby bar during the warm days of the year. The two shops are situated on this floor as well.

There are 72 rooms and apartments, which are located on the 6 floors above the ground floor. There are spacious terraces on four of the levels, while the entire 6th floor is designated for the lavishly furnished VIP apartment with an incredible 360-degree view from the terrace to Alexander Nevski Cathedral, Saint Sofia Church, the National Assembly, Vitosha Mountain and other sights in Sofia. The rooms are spacious, elegantly furnished and ensuring tranquillity in this downtown area of the capital city. The hotel offers 46 double rooms, 14 single rooms, 5 studios, 6 apartments and 1 VIP apartment, which are suitable for long-term business trips or family vacations. It is designed and built to allow access for disabled people and offers specialised hotel rooms to accommodate their needs.

The relaxation zone is on the first floor and offers a gym, gymnastics hall, sauna, solarium, and massage parlour.

Vertical communication is secured through the main staircase, 2 visitor and 1 service elevators.

The parking lot offers 52 spaces on the first and second basement floors.

To facilitate their business meetings the guests of the hotel may take advantage of the 100-seat conference hall furnished with modern communication and audio-visual equipment and simultaneous interpretation booths in 3 languages. The big meeting room is designed in a way that allows functional separation into four, noise- and sound-proof halls.

The COOP Club Restaurant is also available to the guests. It has two halls with a total capacity of 160 seats. The inviting, traditional Bulgarian atmosphere makes the restaurant a suitable place for dinner, family parties and company celebrations.

The conference hall and the restaurant are situated in the administrative building of the investor - CCU, which after its renovation forms the overall architectural ensemble.

COOP Hotel offers its guests broadband Wi-Fi and additional services such as laundry, dry cleaning, etc.

The hotel premises are fit with central, individually regulated air conditioning system. The cutting-edge construction technologies implemented ensure the efficiency in energy consumption and care for the urban environment.
