The construction site RUSE THEATRE COMPLEX, as a whole, represents a reconstruction, an adaptation, a restoration and enlargement of the building at the same time, which is a significant architectural record. The theatre complex goes also  with another name here – The Building of Profit, and it is one of the most imposing neo-classic structures in Bulgaria. It is situated in quarter 88, regulated land estate I – 671, in the central part of the town. The building has been erected in the beginning of the 20-th century, in 1900. Later here has been placed the theatre of Ruse, named after Sava Ognyanov nowadays.The theatre complex has worthy of notice architectural qualities, which makes it one of the town symbols and the main accent of art in the architectural ensemble of “Svoboda” central square. The building is located in a district confined  of “Alexandrovska” street, “Gladstone” street, “Cherno More” street and “Svoboda” square with main and subsidiary entrances.

For the theatre complex there were developed some projects by a special work-team, under the direction of arch. Constantin Vandalov.

The object is divided in two separate building bodies, what gives the possibility of building by stages. There is a big staging – room with foyer, lobby, main stage with additional rooms for theatrical sets, small stage with all the necessary facilities, administration – maintenance and make-up-rooms.

The total build up area is approximately 17600m2.

Тhe „theatrical complex – Ruse” building has been designed and accomplished with the basic idea to preserve and exhibit the remarkable architecture statue of national significance, known as „The Building of Profit”. At the same time the idea is  to be build a complex by keeping the  facades at the most and the already existing bearing construction  by reconstruction, adding to a building, adaptation, restoration, widening. The complex is according to the modern requirements for a theatrical hall and stage, enriched with additional cultural, trade, entertaining and business functions in order to turn it into a real attractive centre for the citizens and numerous tourists and guests of the town.

The Realization of the Object is made according to the modern stage-building techniques, up-to date constructions, installations and design; however the original style, details and composition are retained, in order to be kept the unique outlook of the structure.
